Certified Case Management

The process of becoming a Board Certified Case Manager (CCM) is regulated entirely through the Commission for Case Management Certification (CCMC). All information is available through their website, ccmcertification.org.

Below are some highlights of the certification process taken directly from their site.

What is it?

Board Certification for Case Managers is a means for ensuring the competency that the healthcare industry demands, and employers and consumers expect.

The Commission for Case Manager Certification establishes a minimum set of competency standards for the practice of case management.

The CCM credential acknowledges a rigorous review of a professional’s case management knowledge and case management experience.

To earn the designation of board-certified case manager (CCM), individuals must be of good moral character consistent with the Code of Professional Conduct.
